I am cheap. I mean – my kids and friends make fun of me cheap. I am the coupon clipping, old car driving, packing sandwiches for the vacation road trip woman. However, there are certain things I absolutely will not compromise on by being cheap – the health of my family is one of them. In my previous blog, I talked about how our children are born with over 200 chemicals in their system because of things like plastics, cleaning supplies, makeup, hygiene products and cookware. In fact, the day after I posted that blog, the Today Show aired a segment on how harmful thechemicals are in our makeup! It seems overwhelming when we think about it – but it doesn’t have to be.
I have been slowly ridding my home of toxic chemicals and I thought I would share some easy starts to at least minimizing exposure. You might not be able to do this all at once, but if you pick one or two things a month to replace and get in the habit (maybe forego a couple bar nights or meals out with the family) it is well worth it. There are too many diseases and major health issues out there due to these toxins. I will include links to everything so you can make your shopping experience quick and easy.
